instrumental grieving

Définition

  • It is suggested that different socialization experiences or biological differences cause men and women to exhibit distinct patterns in the way they experience, express, and adapt to grief. It is further suggested that the male role inhibits grieving because it emphasizes the regulation of emotional expression while diminishing the supposed need to seek support from others.
