- Rehabilitation constitutes the act or process of therapeutic intervention that restores or redevelops the sensory, physical, and/or cognitive capacities of the individual. Alternatively, in cases where full recovery is not possible, rehabilitation involves maximizing functional outcomes within the limits of the individual's physical disability.
