  • The Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act (RICO) was enacted on October 15, 1970, as part of Title IX of the Organized Crime Control Act. RICO is codified under the federal penal code, 18 U.S.C., and contains eight sections (§§ 1961–68).
