Sol Tax
Définition
- Although most widely remembered today for his organizational contributions, particularly the founding of Current Anthropology, Sol Tax (1907–1995) was also an experienced and innovative scholar and an influential teacher and mentor. His contributions to Robert Redfield's project in Mesoamerican economic development were significant at the time, but his “action anthropology” is increasingly relevant as the discipline rediscovers collaborative and applied approaches and internationalist perspectives.
