Définition
- Small businesses, also commonly referred to as micro enterprises, employ millions of workers worldwide. In the United States alone, employment by small businesses accounts for about half of the U.S. private sector workforce; just under half of the nonfarm, annual gross domestic product; and about 40 percent of the private payroll, according to the U.S. Small Business Administration in 2012.
