- Healthcare Web sites are electronic pages available on the Internet that are generally designed to serve one or more of three different groups: (1) healthcare consumers, (2) healthcare practitioners, and (3) health services researchers. Many are published by government agencies, private foundations, or healthcare organizations; however, the Internet as a publishing medium is open to anyone with computer access.
