- Knowledge management is concerned with how organizations manage what they know and “need to know.” It focuses on the mobilization, dissemination, use, and storage of knowledge for the realization of organizational ambitions. Much of the literature about knowledge management is oriented to private organizations, but there is increasing attention to it within the public sector.
