- The National Asian Women's Health Organization (NAWHO), created in 1993, promotes health equality for Asian-American women and their families through overall education about their health needs and through specifically targeted initiatives. NAWHO empowers Asian Americans by providing leadership training and by collaborating with other agencies, such as the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), to make health-related goals a reality.
