Hodgkin's lymphoma

- HODGKIN's LYMPHOMA, NAMED for the English physician who first described it in 1832, is a distinct lymphatic cancer (cancer of the immune system). According to the National Cancer Institute, over 8,000 new cases of Hodgkin's lymphoma were confirmed in the United States in 2007, and over 1,000 deaths occurred the same year.
