- The Boston Gun Project Working Group was formed in 1995 to address high levels of youth violence in the Boston area. This working group was a collaborative effort incorporating practitioners, including federal, state, and local law enforcement, as well as researchers, including David Kennedy, Anthony Braga, and Anne Piehl from Harvard University, and community groups such as church groups, social workers, and community organizers.
