- Political psychology is an interdisciplinary field concerned with research questions that lie at the intersection of psychology and political science. Lacking one widely accepted definition, political psychology might be conceptualized as the study of “how people think about politics and how this cognitive process affects their political behavior” (Monroe et al., 2009, p.
