John La Montagne

- John La Montagne was a Mexican-born American infectious disease biologist and administrator who contributed to the development of several vaccines. Both as a researcher and as a director of national programs, he fought the emergence of infectious diseases, including acquired immunodeficiency syndrome (AIDS) and severe acute respiratory syndrome (SARS), and was committed to improving global health.
