- Project Safe Neighborhoods (PSN) is a major federal collaborative initiative to reduce gun violence. PSN is coordinated by the United States Department of Justice (USDOJ) and is implemented at the local and district level by U.S. Attorneys, who coordinate the efforts of a variety of local, state, and federal agents and officers.
