  • CHRONIC MYELOPROLIFERATIVE DISORDERS (CMD) are an uncommon heterogeneous group of diseases arising in the bone marrow and resulting in the proliferation of malignant haematopoietic cells. Six disorders are classified as CMD: CML (chronic myelogenous leukemia), PV (polycythemia vera), CIM (chronic idiopathic myelofibrosis), ET (essential thrombocythemia), CNL (chronic neutrophilic leukemia), and CEL (chronic eosinophilic leukemia).
