- More comprehensive and effective behavioral health services in schools are growing in a context of widely documented and increased awareness of the mismatch between the need of children and youth for behavioral health services and their receipt of them. In the United States, as few as 16% of youth with a diagnosable behavioral illness actually receive intervention.
