fertilization
Definition
- Fertilisation is the process of providing a growing medium, such as soil, with the elements necessary for plant development and the maintenance or improvement of soil life. It can also be a natural phenomenon (e.g. natural fertilization of the oceans, especially in iron, which results in promoting plankton blooms).
