Definición
- A glaciation is an ice age, i.e. both a cold palaeoclimatic phase and a geological period of the Earth during which a significant part of the continents is glaciated. The history of the Earth is marked by numerous glacial episodes during climatic cooling. The Quaternary is characterised by their relative frequency and regularity.
