Definición
- A bioconcretion is the highly calcified structure resulting from the biological activity of certain organisms. A concretion consists of hardened biological material. A bioconcretion is a solid, hard mass formed by bioconversion, a process of aggregation or coalescence. For example, the Great Barrier Reef was formed by bioconcretion.
