eolian sand
Definición
- Eolian sand is a heterogeneous mixture of two fundamentally different types of grain: one characterised by very rounded and frosted grains of medium size (around 0.5 mm); the other by fine grains of generally angular shape, with a completely polished surface. This sand comes from the disintegration of rocks by the wind. (Adapted and translated from: https://www.btb.termiumplus.gc.ca/tpv2alpha/alpha-fra.html?lang=fra&i=1&index=alt&srchtxt=SABLE%20EOLIEN)
