- Bulb onion seeds are an example where pelleting is used to position chemicals. A systemic fungicide, i.e. benomyl plus thiram, is placed on the surface of the seeds (to control internally-borne Botrytis allii - neck rot) which are then pelleted. (Source : INRA)
