FAIR digital object
Definition
- A sequence of bits that represents an informational unit and is presented according to the FAIR principles. To be classified as a FAIR Digital Object (FDO), a digital object is identified by a globally-unique, persistent and resolvable identifier with a predictable resolution behaviour, described by related metadata records (FDOs themselves) and classified by the FDOF typing system.
