Definition
- The relationship between any of the avatars of a nomen, either original (protonym) or subsequent (aponym), and concerning its spelling (parograph), rank (parohypse) and/or, if relevant, onymorph (paronymorph). Each one of the avatars is a paronym. (Dubois 2000)
