Definition
- An airesy taken in case of zygography under Article 24.2.3 of the Code by an author or authors not being the original auctor(s) of the nomen. To be valid, an external airesy must be explicit, i.e., both competing spellings must be mentioned and one of them must be unambiguously designated as correct. (Dubois 2013)
