Definition

  • The correct spelling (eugraph) of a given nomen at a given rank in a given ergotaxonomy may be different from its original spelling (protograph or lectoprotograph) in case of mandatory spelling correction of an inadvertent spelling error, or of mandatory ending correction to comply with grammatical gender (in the species-series) or with the ending required by the Code for nomina referred to some ranks in the family-series.
