Definición
- Tautonymy is qualified as absolute when the substantive and the epithet were both published within the frame of binominal nomenclature. Like Linnean tautonomy, it may result in the election of the nucleospecies of a genus-series nomen, if it has not been effected previously by original designation or monophory. (Traditional term, definition by A. Dubois)
