preliminary version of work accessible electronically in advance of publication
Définition
- Any version of a work published online and which differs, even slightly (e.g., by even a single letter or a single modified element of layout, by the pagination or by the mention of an issue number), in content and/or layout from the final version of the same work subsequently published online. A preliminary version is nomenclaturally unavailable. It is accessible online only during a limited period, before being definitively replaced on a website by the final version, which then remains unchanged. To be available, this final version should be published as a PDF/A (Portable Document Format Archive) or any other format that allows keeping the document with a strictly fixed content and layout.
