- Onomatophore designation (typification in the Code): statement of the specimen or of the taxomen that will stand as the onomatophore of a taxomen; process by which a specimen or a series of specimens is fixed as the onomatophore of a speciomen; or by which a taxomen is fixed as the onomatophore of a taxomen of a higher nominal-series. (Dubois 2006a)
